I want to share this photo as an example of why the running community is so amazing. As the Orono runner came up to the Hermon runner, he patted him on the back and told him "good job man". These young men and women are competitive and leave it all on the course, but it’s so amazing to hear and see athletes helping others out with encouraging words as well as high fives and hugs at the finish line. If you have never been to an event like this I highly recommend you check one out. The end of the race often results in bodies laying all over the ground, but in those moments, the uniform colors don't matter. Someone is always there with a cup of water and a helping hand. So proud of all these kids!!!!
